Roxie Daisy Myers lived in a time when house and home were the centerpieces of family life, and raising seven children was not uncommon in a small Virginia town. Roxie Daisy was my husband’s grandmother and he fondly remembers meals at her Southern table, where he felt welcomed, comfortable, and relaxed. These characteristics are at the heart of our store, which we have proudly named after her.

Our Story

When I opened Roxie Daisy with my husband, Jim, in late summer 2011, I had a simple idea: to create a place where friends, neighbors, and visitors could shop for elegant, and elegantly rustic, home furnishings — a gathering spot of sorts where everyone would feel welcome.

We found a perfect location just off Charlottesville’s historic Downtown Mall and named the shop after Jim’s grandmother. At Roxie Daisy, our aesthetic is eclectic, punctuated by a love for form and function. Serene, neutral palettes make us happy. We have a little something for every room in your home, be it an inviting armchair, a rustic farm table, a Spanish wine glass, Turkish cotton towels, or handmade French soap. Work by local and international artisans shares the shelves with antiques from around the world and the latest offerings from our vendors.

While we curate a collection that offers something for everyone, we remain dedicated to that original vision: a shop that offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day. Whether you find us by wandering past the store on a Saturday morning, or through leisurely browsing our collection from the comfort of your own couch, we hope you find new treasures perfect for the places and people that you love.

About Karen

Between my father's career in the furniture business and my mother's career as a home furnishings writer for the LA Times Syndicate, it often feels to me that owning a shop like Roxie Daisy was in my genes.

After graduating from college with a degree in art history, I launched my own career at Neiman Marcus — one that solidified my love of retail and design. From my first job in couture to my current career in home interiors, I have always been passionate about using my imagination, creativity, and constant search for the interesting. Roxie Daisy allows me to do just that, and to partner in those creative pursuits with my husband Jim, who has been an integral part of this journey every step of the way.

Roxie Daisy is built upon our ever-present love of house, home, and family. We are thrilled to share that vision with you. Welcome to Roxie Daisy!
